This summer was nice with a family vacation to the Rocky Mountain National Park, Mt. Rushmore, Badlands and Pikes Peak area. I’ve knocked two more states off my visited list leaving only one more state to visit to have been to all fifty states. Currently, I am running a discount on anyone with a photo shoot in Idaho.

You can see a few more of the images here. Some of these images I’ve processing to mimic a technique Edward Curtis had done with his western images. It’s called Orotone printing and involves using gold pigment to print his negatives. The final images have a beautiful depth to them. I’ve mimicked the color in Photoshop and print them on metallic paper and am quite pleased with the results.

Summer is winding down so it’s now time to start thinking about competition season coming up. Deadlines are approaching quickly, so give me a call to schedule photographing your winning project!
